Accelerated BSN Application
The College of Nursing offers an Accelerated BSN (ABSN) curriculum for qualified and highly motivated students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and desire a career change. The full-time campus-based 12 month ABSN program incorporates all of the components of a traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
Admission & Application
To apply for admission to the College of Nursing you must follow the steps listed below. Applications for the ABSN Program will be accepted from December 1st through February 1st. The application process is straightforward and there are convenient links for you to follow.
1. Apply to Florida State University
Current FSU Students are not required to reapply to FSU.
Applicants who have not taken courses at FSU for two consecutive semesters will be required to reapply to the University.

Please note: You must send official transcripts to both the FSU Admissions Office and the College of Nursing. You will receive notice of your admission status approximately six (6) weeks after the deadline date. After you have been admitted to the College of Nursing, you will be sent information regarding ordering of uniforms, a health examination, immunizations, and personal background check.
FSU Students are not required to submit FSU transcripts to the College of Nursing as long as their FSU transcripts are updated. Current FSU students are encouraged to check campus.fsu.edu to ensure that all college level courses are listed on their FSU transcripts.
Application Deadlines: Application deadline for admission is February 1st.
We receive many applications and admission is extremely competitive. All students are required to have a minimum overall and science prerequisite GPA of 3.2; however, the average GPA of accepted students is generally 3.5 or higher.
The College of Nursing Committee on Admissions, Progression, and Graduation may also look at the college algebra grade, the advanced science and math courses, and honors work in choosing the right candidates for admission into the program.
