The Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Florida State University College of Nursing is a key that will open many doors for you as a professional nurse. Since 1950, the program's 5,000 alumni have set very high standards of nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership and professionalism throughout the state of Florida and around the United States and the world.

The nursing program is a demanding and challenging course of study. Students are admitted to the College of Nursing program after they have completed the nursing prerequisites and either the Liberal Studies requirements and at FSU (60 semester hours) or earned an Associates of Arts degree from a Florida public institution. Students with degrees or course work from Florida private or out-of-state institutions will receive a course by course evaluation to determine if they have satisfied these requirements. The GPA requirement is a 3.0 overall and a 3.0 average in the sciences prerequisites. The current average for incoming students is 3.5+.

The College of Nursing is located in Duxbury Hall, a modern four-story facility with technology enhanced classrooms and lecture halls.
