The Florida State University College of Nursing has implemented an innovative program for registered nurses seeking career mobility and additional education. The College of Nursing's RN to BSN program enables the nurse with leadership inclination and skills, clinical competency, a strong commitment to nursing, and academic ability, to earn the bachelor's degree in nursing on a part-time basis.

Course work in the RN to BSN program builds on the foundation of the RN's expertise to fulfill the requirements of a baccalaureate education. At the time the RN is completing the baccalaureate program of study, some course work in the master's program may also be completed.
The Florida State University College of Nursing has been approved by the Florida Board of Nursing since 1950. It has been accredited by the National League for Nursing since the first class graduated in 1952. It is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
