Financial Aid & Scholarships
Qualifying for financial aid is sometimes a lengthy process and should be started well in advance of the term for which you expect to need financial aid. Various types of financial aid are available to help finance your education at The Florida State University, including scholarships, grants, work study and loans. The Office of Financial Aid at the Panama City Campus is available to assist you in determining your eligibility for financial aid.
Scholarships
The Returning Student Scholarship is funded through four endowed scholarships that were established at The Florida State University to provide financial assistance to deserving adults who wish to return to school on a part-time basis. The Roger’s Heart Foundation, a Higher Education Scholarship Program for Nurses, provides financial support for motivated nurses who work as a professional cardiovascular nurse in a Pinellas, Manatee or Hillsborough County facility.
- Earned Associate and R.N degree.
- Working towards BSN, Masters or higher degree.
- Work experience as a professional cardiovascular nurse in a Pinellas, Manatee or Hillsborough County facility.
- Acceptance in an accredited program, either as a full-time or part-time student.
The RN-AACN Scholarship Fund is designed to support students who are seeking baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degrees in nursing. Special consideration will be given to students:
- Enrolled in a master's or doctoral program in pursuit of a nursing faculty career;
- Completing the RN to baccalaureate (BSN) or RN to master's degree (MSN) program; or
- Enrolled in an accelerated baccalaureate or master's degree nursing program.
