Prerequisites

Complete a baccalaureate level degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited college or university.

Achieve at least a 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) cumulative GPA on all college work attempted.

Achieve at least a 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) cumulative GPA on all college work attempted at the last institution.

Complete the HESI A2 examination (prior to the application deadline).

Meet the Florida State University admission requirements for second degree seeking students.

Complete the Florida State University Application for Undergraduate Admission.

Complete the College of Nursing Accelerated Track BSN Application. This application will be available from July 1st through September 1st.

Submit a current resume.

  Complete the following prerequisite courses with a ‘C’ or higher. Achieve a science prerequisite GPA of at least 3.0, calculated from the prerequisite courses marked below with an asterisk (*).

Motivated students from any undergraduate major may apply to this program. However, those who did not complete the required prerequisite courses in their undergraduate program must complete these courses prior to starting the ABSN program.
