The nursing faculty and staff welcome you to the College of Nursing. Below you will find important information as you begin your
journey as a nursing student at the Florida State University. Please review the information carefully and pay close attention to

College of Nursing Student Orientation
All students accepted for the Fall 2009 semester are required to attend the mandatory Nursing Student Orientation Sessions as follows:
August 20, 2009 (1:00pm - 4:00pm)
and
August 21, 2009 (9:00am - 4:00pm)

This special orientation session will include an introduction to the College and the BSN program, as well as provide a variety of details
related to your enrollment as a nursing student. Students must attend both days of orientation and prior to orientation students are
encouraged to review the following important documents:

Professional Equipment - Students will need a watch with a second hand, bandage scissors, stethoscope and sphygmomanometer, black pen, penlight, and clipboard for clinical experiences. These may be purchased at any medical supply store or ordered through Hellen's Uniform Shop.
Additionally, a bag of items for clinical practice of nursing skills is needed and is available for purchase at Bill's Bookstore. |

Finalizing Your Admission
If you have been admitted contingent upon successful completion of all required prerequisite courses and University admission requirements, all official grades must be posted to your FSU permanent record prior to the first day of the first semester of enrollment. If you are unable to meet the conditions of admission, you must notify the Office of Student Services immediately (advising@nursing.fsu.edu) and your offer of admission is subject to cancellation.
