Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Faculty Position
The Florida State University College of Nursing is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a full-time (12 month) faculty position at the rank of Specialized Teaching Faculty II. The qualifications for this position are the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and national certification as a PMHNP, as well as an unencumbered license by the Florida Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). The candidate must have practiced as a PMHNP for at least two years. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation at the graduate level or concept-based curriculum with distance education methodologies. Responsibilities will include teaching in the graduate and undergraduate programs, clinical research, outreach and community service, and active involvement on college and University committees, service and governance. Teaching responsibilities will involve classroom, lab and clinical, evaluation of student performance, and working with faculty to design and evaluate curriculum materials to meet accreditation standards and guidelines.
