RESEARCH INTERESTS

Laurie Abbott PhD, RN, PHNA-BC is a registered nurse who has experience in a variety of acute care and community settings. She is a board-certified advanced public health nurse, and her research interests include advancing cardiovascular health equity among underserved, rural populations. Dr. Abbott’s research experiences included conducting cluster randomized trials and testing evidence-based cardiovascular health promotion/disease risk reduction interventions in rural community settings.
