Dr. Jennifer Schnippert, FSU College of Nursing Faculty Member, Elected as 2024 President-Elect of Tallahassee Council of Advanced Practice Nurses

Dr. Jennifer Schnippert, faculty member of the Florida State University College of Nursing (FSU CON), has been elected as the 2024 President-Elect of the Tallahassee Council of Advanced Practice Nurses (CAPN). This achievement holds significant implications for the local nursing community and our institution.

CAPN, dedicated to advancing advanced nursing practice in the Tallahassee area, serves to promote the viability, visibility, and unity of nurses engaged in advanced nursing practice. Dr. Schnippert's election is a testament to her dedication to the field and the nursing profession.

Dr. Schnippert, an invaluable asset to FSU CON, holds both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees from FSU. Her journey from student member to DNP faculty member reflects the opportunities and growth our institution fosters.

Dr. Schnippert's election is significant for FSU CON and our students. As President-Elect of CAPN, she will advance nursing practice in the local community, strengthen connections with advanced practice nurses, and create opportunities for our students. CAPN is integral to the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network (FNPN), which actively advocates for expanding nurse practitioners' scope of practice.
