2021 Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing Inductee

Congratulations to Associate Professor & Associate Director and Co-Founder of the Center for Population Sciences and Health Equity, Dr. Eugenia Millender, on being inducted into the latest Class of Fellows in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN)! In addition to being selected as one of 225 distinguished nurse leaders to be inducted into the 2021 Class of Fellows, she was also asked to serve as one of three Office of the VP of Research Faculty Fellows for the inaugural class.

Fellows are selected based on their contributions to advancing the public’s health. Induction into the academy is a significant milestone in a nurse leader’s career in which their accomplishments are honored by their colleagues within the profession. As an Academy Fellow, Eugenia also has a responsibility to contribute her time and energies to the Academy, and to engage with other health leaders outside the Academy in transforming America's health system.

As the worldwide epidemic continues to challenge traditional means of celebrating, this year's induction event, which will incorporate personalized video vignettes and live streaming of each entrant, will be a special way to celebrate the new Fellows. Eugenia now represents one of six current Fellows in the College of Nursing.
