Dr. Steven Palazzo, Nursing Education Leader, Inducted into the 2023 Academy of Nursing Education

Dr. Steven Palazzo, Ph.D., MN, RN, CNE, the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs, has made impressive contributions to nursing education and healthcare advancement, earning him an esteemed accolade. In September of this year, he was officially inducted into the prestigious Academy of Nursing Education as part of the 2023 Fellow class. 

The induction ceremony occurred during the 2023 National League of Nursing (NLN) Education Summit in Washington, DC, September 28-30th. Nurse educators from around the country gathered at this event to discuss current trends and emerging issues in nursing education and address day-to-day challenges in nursing education. 

To become a member of the Academy of Nursing Education, you must compete in a competitive application process. The Academy’s Review Panel meticulously evaluated Dr. Palazzo’s contributions to innovative teaching and learning strategies, nursing education research, faculty development activities, academic leadership, promotion of public policy initiatives in nursing education, and collaborative educational, practice, or community partnerships.

Joining a select group of educators, Dr. Palazzo now stands among the 2023 Academy of Nursing Education Fellows, a distinguished cohort of leading nurse educators dedicated to elevating healthcare quality in the United States and globally. These fellows are associated with top-tier teaching hospitals, academic institutions, and organizations committed to advancing healthcare excellence.
