AN OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN 55 YEARS AND OLDER WHO HAVE HEART FAILURE

Help FSU College of Nursing Researchers learn how to help heart failure patients become more active in their homes

Visit 1 

Detailed Study Overview

Sign Informed Consent

Complete Questionnaires

Request Physician Approval

Visit 2

Measurement of blood pressure, heart rate, height, weight and body composition

Blood draw

Senior Fitness Test

Visit 3

The first exercise session – completed over video conference  

A member of the research team will guide you through a resistance training program using elastic resistance bands

Intervention

On your own you will do the same exercise program 3 times per week for the next 12 weeks

A member of the research team will check in with you every other week 

Visit 4 (12 weeks after start of program)

Measurement of blood pressure, heart rate, height, weight and body composition

Blood draw
