Dr. Laura Widman is a licensed clinical psychologist and adolescent sexuality researcher. She has three main lines of research focused on 1) understanding adolescent communication about sexuality; 2) developing, implementing, and evaluating digital interventions to improve communication skills and promote adolescent sexual health; and 3) conducting meta-analyses/systematic reviews to synthesize the adolescent sexual health literature. Dr. Widman has published nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles on these topics and has a proven track record of funding to support this work. She is also a co-author on the undergraduate human sexuality textbook, Our Sexuality, and the founder of Teen Health Research, a small business that aims to commercialize the digital programs Dr. Widman’s team has built and get them into the hands of teens and families.
