Susan A. Baker, PhD, RN brings more than thirty years of experience in nursing academia and practice. The focus of her nursing career has been on the care of cancer patients, both in inpatient and outpatient settings and her research interests include cancer and cancer screening behaviors among African Americans and cancer literacy in underrepresented populations. She received the “Outstanding Dissertation Award” in 2008 from the University of South Florida for her dissertation titled “Prostate Cancer Screening Behaviors of African American Men-An Instrument Development Study”.
