Kathleen Wilson,PhD, ARNP-C, FAANP is dually certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner.  She is also a clinical professor for the FSU College of Nursing. She has many years of experience in practice, and she has board certification in advanced diabetes management. As a diplomate with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, she holds specialty certification as a lifestyle medicine professional. Over her more than 40 years as an APRN, she has held positions in nurse practitioner education, research and administration, along with extensive experience in chronic disease prevention and management and community program development. In addition to her AANP Florida (North) State Liaison role, she has served as the Region 1 director for the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network. She currently serves as the inaugural capital liaison supporting legislative efforts in Tallahassee for FNPN. She is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a distinguished fellow of the National Academy of Practice.

Dr. Wilson considers herself a lifelong learner, as evidenced by her recent completion of the Lifestyle Medicine program through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Working in the field of chronic disease management has encouraged her to see opportunities to support her patients and professional colleagues in the science and implementation of health promotion and disease prevention through lifestyle medicine interventions to enjoy a life worth living.
