Delivered in partnership with FSU Panama City, the expansion brings the college's nationally accredited BSN program to Bay County for the first time. The effort is made possible by a historic $10 million gift from The Fairholme Foundation, established by Bruce and Tracey Berkowitz, the largest philanthropic gift in the College of Nursing's history.

The program is scheduled to launch in 2027 with an inaugural class of roughly 40 students, expanding as the program grows. In addition to the gift, FSU is investing its own resources to renovate space, secure equipment, and hire faculty and staff for the new location.

The gift also creates undergraduate scholarships for students from Bay, Walton, and Gulf counties, keeping talented future nurses close to home, where research shows they are most likely to stay and practice.
