FSU College of Nursing Earns Continued CCNE Accreditation

Jing Wang

I am pleased to share that the Florida State University College of Nursing has received official confirmation of continued accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This outstanding achievement affirms the quality of our nursing programs and our collective commitment to excellence in nursing education.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, the CCNE Board of Commissioners granted 10 years of accreditation to our baccalaureate degree in nursing, post-graduate APRN certificate and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, extending through December 31, 2036. Our master's degree program received five years of accreditation, extending through December 31, 2031, marking its initial accreditation.

The Board determined that all four programs substantially complied with all four CCNE accreditation standards, with no compliance concerns identified with respect to key elements. These are exceptional results and represent a historic achievement for our college.

Accreditation is a rigorous and collaborative process, and I am deeply grateful to our faculty, staff, students and university partners for their dedication, thoughtful engagement and hard work throughout the review. I also extend my sincere appreciation to our experienced site visit team for their careful evaluation and valuable contributions.

These results speak to the strength of our programs and the commitment of our entire college community to preparing nurses and nurse leaders who make a meaningful difference in healthcare. While we are proud to celebrate this milestone, continuous improvement remains central to our mission. We will continue building on this success as we advance nursing education, strengthen our programs and expand our impact.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this remarkable achievement. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and excited for what lies ahead.
