The Florida State University Smart Health Home™ Initiative is an innovative collaboration led by the FSU College of Nursing and the Institute on Digital Health and Innovation to advance healthy aging, digital health, and independent living across Northwest Florida and beyond. Through a living laboratory approach, the initiative explores how advanced technologies, connected devices, artificial intelligence, and virtual care solutions can support wellness, independence, and quality of life as individuals age.
As part of this effort, FSU and its partners are developing a Smart Health Home demonstration and research space at Latitude Margaritaville Watersound in Bay County, Florida. The initiative brings together industry, community, and academic partners, including organizations such as Samsung Electronics America and TOTO USA, to create opportunities for research, education, innovation, and community engagement.
