Florida State University’s College of Nursing celebrated its 75th anniversary at the third annual Nole Nurse Shining Stars Gala on March 21. The event honored the college’s long history of excellence, recognized outstanding alumni, faculty and community partners and celebrated the impact of Nole Nurses in health care.

The Florida State University College of Nursing and its Institute on Digital Health and Innovation announced a collaboration with Samsung Electronics America, Inc. to create a Smart Health Home space at Latitude Margaritaville Watersound (LMWS), a 55-plus community in Bay County, Fla. The groundbreaking initiative is the result of a recent partnership with Minto Communities USA, Margaritaville Holdings and St. Joe Company, and will harness the power of Samsung’s end-to-end wellness platform, SmartThings IoT technology and Health AI, to facilitate proactive health monitoring and wellness management for aging adults.
